Sugar King, proud product of Namib Mills (PTY) Ltd. is a household name and staple in nearly every home in Namibia, presents VAKWENI VAWA, a new children’s animation series developed to educate, stimulate and inspire the youth of Namibia.
Derived from the native language, Rukwangali, Vakweni Vawa means “sweet friends” – as the brand, as well as locals know, it not only takes a village to raise a child but dedication, hard work, opportunity and having each other’s backs.
Sugar King’s Vakweni Vawa is a 100% local production, from the voices and animation, through to the narrative and concept – which was inspired by the drawings and characters of Mr. Somseb who won Sugar King’s national creativity campaign early 2019.
